Accenture is one of the world's largest IT management consultancies, specialising in technology delivery and data science & analytics. It is also one of the original members of the government's 'Strategic Supplier' cohort - the firms deemed most essential to the delivery of public services - entering the list in November 2012.
Last year the firm earned £88m from the Central and Local Government. It works with HMRC on its cloud-based tax platform and with the DWP on the system underpinning universal credit. In total it has been named on nearly 100 public sector contracts since 2012.
