Amey is one of the original members of the government's Strategic Suppliers, entering the list in November 2012. Last year Amey generated £1.9bn in revenue from Central and Local Government - a total of 64 customers. Its top buyer was the Ministry of Defence, which accounted for a third of its total public sector income.
Alongside these earnings, in 2019 the firm won 15 contracts worth a total of £1.2bn. Its top win was a £632m contract with the Ministry of Justice to run its Prisoner Escort and Custody Services until 2030.
