Propping up most of the leading firms on the list was a bonanza £480 million panel deal for advice awarded in May by NHS Resolution, formerly the NHS Litigation Authority." [...]
"Gus Tugendhat, of Tussell, the research business which produced the report said that last year's overall value of public sector procurement was £144 billion, which equated to 7 per cent of the UK's GDP.
He added that 211 legal services deals worth £482 million were due to expire across the public sector in the next two years, which provided a 'huge potential for further procurement activity'."
