Last week saw the publication of the third biggest tender so far this year: an £11.4Bn Facilities Management framework from the CCS.
Key market stats:
Top buyers by tender value
Excluding frameworks, Hampshire County Council was the biggest contracting authority by value with a £325M tender for Private Debt Fund Investment Management. NHS organisations made up 3 out of 5 of the top spots.
In Focus: Distribution of tenders by value
Last week, smaller opportunities of £1M or less accounted for 65% of all tenders published by volume - showing there is plenty of scope for SMEs to engage with public procurement.
187 tenders (nearly a third of the total) were published without a value - underlining that there is still much to be done by the public sector to improve transparency!
